a Ella is a powerful collaboration of European women's voices, Laetitia Marcangeli (France), Monserrat Ruiz (Spain/UK) Karoliina Kantelinen (Finland) and Simona Gatto (Italy). The original project was conceived by Dave as a commission for Fora Do Lugar Festival, Portugal which gathered the group for 2 days to create a one of performance in Ladoeiro - a tiny community in north west Portugal. They performed in an old agricultural warehouse surrounded by the harvest of squash and quinces.
